This post is an alternative to the regular spring-assisted posts on the In-Motion Pro Crutch, and the In-Motion Forearm Crutch.
Great with ice tipsBad ice is relatively rare where I live. Since a fall could cost me my independence or worse, I bought screw-on ice tips that flip up for indoor/car. But they cannot work on the spring loaded legs of my In-Motion forearm canes. So, I used my old forearm canes and armed them with ice tips. Using them makes my hands hurt, and I forget how slippery the tips are indoors when I flip the ice tip up, unlike the In-Motion tips which hardly ever slip. These rigid legs are perfect, easy to put in when weather dictates, and I can keep the ice tips on them all the time. That way I have the ergonomic benefits of grip and tip, and safety indoors and outdoors.
