What is the difference between forearm crutches and underarm crutches?
Forearm crutches (also called Lofstrand or elbow crutches) have a cuff that wraps around the forearm, placing the weight load through the hand and forearm rather than the underarm. They allow more freedom of movement, are generally lighter, and are preferred for long-term or permanent use. How do I know if I need the Short or Tall model?
The Short model fits users 4'2" to 5'5". The Tall model fits users 5'3" to 6'8". If you fall in the overlapping range (5'3"–5'5"), we recommend the Tall for its additional adjustment positions (15 vs 11). Confirm fit: stand in your normal shoes and measure from the floor to your hip. Tall handle range: 28.5"–42.5". Short handle range: 23.5"–33.5". Both sold as a pair (2 crutches).
How does Spring Assist Technology work?
The In-Motion Pro uses a patented spring inside the lower post.
