I have used this brand of crutches for around 20 years – I am on my second pair. I only got the second pair because it was offered in red – lol. Now with MS, I am not a very active person so I cannot say I have stress tested them. I even bought a pair for my mother who used them right up until she passed away. The spring is what is important to me. Because it pushes me back up, it removes some of the fatigue that occurs when I walk. I have read that they made some changes in design and if those are the changes, then I would not purchase another pair until they returned to the original design. Yes the old grip was rigid, but it did not slip off or out of your hands. I like how when shopping I can use one crutch, push the cart, and rest my weight on the forearm piece while I reach for things. When things get rough, they just snap right on my Permobil for when I need them. I know these are meant for “pros” and active people. But they work amazingly well for the infirm and elderly also – smile. They kept me from progressing to a wheelchair for most of those 20 years. The only trouble I have had with walking on them is the traction on some surfaces. I suggest getting a set of the multi-grove slightly larger cane tips for them, improves stability.

Only thing on my wishlist? MORE COLORS! I was even able to get my Permobil wheels in purple, show some creativity beyond utilitarian black and grey. Though I suppose I could wrap it in colorful tape or vet wrap like a candy cane?

I get Extreme use out of these crutches as I am Very active. I do Lots of hiking on rugged trails, they go with me when I’m fishing lake shores or river banks, taken with me on the quads, go with me when I am 4 wheeling with my truck and TONS more.. that being said I’ve had other crutches (brands) that held up to all of those for a much MUCH longer time.

Past brands that I’ve used have been able to hold up for years on end even the earlier model of the in motion pro forearm crutches. I like The comfortability of the spring loaded action but that’s about it.

With the new model of the in motion pros… I’ve gone through 6 pairs in the past 2 years or so… the rubber handle comes off just under normal walking conditions nothing crazy and my current set the handle came off after 4 hours of use out of the box brand new.. main reason behind this is because you can’t rivet a soft rubber compound handle to a metal base… this has cause me to fall MULTIPLE times and the handle becomes useless when it rains or even snows.. BIG PROBLEM… second, the plastic base on my last 3 pairs of the forearm cuff have snapped off under normal walking conditions as well which also caused me to fall. Everything was connected correctly just broke off in a weird place.. third the spring has failed on me on 4 out of 6 sets where it’s either snapped (not under extra weight like a pack or anything) or it’s gotten stuck.. I understand getting stuck there’s nothing that can be done about that and I’ve been able to fix that on my own of course but snapping after 3 weeks of use shouldn’t happen I’m only 118lbs.

please PLEASE go back to the original design where the handle was a harder compound and screwed into the base not riveted to metal.

Over the past year we have taken customer feedback like this and have worked with our engineers to address all of the issues you mentioned. We are finalizing the design modifications with our new factory and expect to have those crutches in stock late summer 2022.

Hello. I’ve been on crutches for 45 years and I’m rough on crutches I’m very active. I had doubts about the spring lasting very long and I was very surprised. They lasted a lot longer than expected. A good year or so if I use them all the time. Being on crutches so long I’ve had a couple shoulder surgeries an torn ligaments. The springed crutches makes it a lot easier on my shoulders an being as active as I am I’ve had to learn to alternate between these and my rigid crutches to get the maximum life out them an benefit my shoulder. Bottom line is there great crutches. And this is a great company and they stand by there warranty and are excellent to work with and hassle free on warranty’s there way beyond 5 stars 🌟 in my book. If you are concerning buy a pair. Stop 🛑 right there and buy them !!!! U will be very pleased.

These crutches are amazing. This is my 4th set. The hand grips are extremely comfortable. There are springs on the legs which act as shock absorbers. Very comfortable, very lightweight. Each crutch weights about 2 lbs. The cane tips are the best. They will last longer than 4 or 5 sets of the regular tips you can buy st the drug stores.

Broken after 6 weeks of use We bought these crutches for a family member who will be undergoing two operations requiring lengthy recovery periods on crutches and so we thought that the investment would make sense, however after 6 weeks of use the arm cuff on the right crutch cracked off- -during use! Obviously this is not only a dangerous situation but also frustrating. I can’t seem to find any place to order a replacement part so these

The best I’ve tried If you have to be on crutches, the Millennial Medical inMotion crutches are the most comfortable I’ve tried. I’m recovering from major hip surgery and will be on crutches for at least a few months. These crutches help me not to tire too quickly and are easier on my shoulders than other mobility options.

Very pleased My daughter loves her new canes!

  10. Kevin Rich (verified owner)

Ive tried so many. I manage to wear out a couple of pairs of crutches each year, so I’ve had a chance to try different types and these forearm crutches are the most comfortable long term for my wrists and hands. Of particular note os the new handle material. Itbis softer and slightly more textured than my last pair. Nice.

In-Motion Pro Forearm Crutch I like them. I was using different forearm crutches for the past two years so it took a while to get used to the spring action. At first it felt like I was crutching through sand but after a while I’ve noticed the relief it gives my hands and wrists. The forearm cuff could definitely be more stable. Overall I would recommend. I like them more the longer I use them.

Great Crutch Set I love my new crutches and will order another pair. They are light weight and they keep me upright when walking. I was hesitant about ordering them because online, the ergonomic hand grip looked so bulky, rather ugly and unusual and hard to grip. But the hand grip actually works well and don’t look bulky, ugly or unusual at all. They take some getting used to but so far, they are the best pair of crutches I’ve ever had. I gave a 4 rating only because the paint chips too easily. When I removed the label from one of my black crutches, some of the paint peeled off on the label. Both crutches have several chips.

No problem Delivery was perfect and assembly was easy. These were a replacement for 10 yr old crutches that were run over by a car. New ones were exactly the same and work great.

10 years later. . . I got these crutches 10 years ago. I used them continuously for 2 to 3 years, then on and off since then (I had a serious injury, and recurring pain from it occasionally flares up). They’re the best crutches I’ve ever used! They feel like an extension of your body. Yes, occasionally you get a shoulder ache, or a bit of friction issues with the hand grip. But I don’t see how that type of issue would be avoidable unless you were weightless. I’m not currently using the crutches, but while I had to use them about a month ago, I started thinking maybe I should buy a backup set, just in case. Now I’m just trying to decide if I should get another black set or go blue. 🙂 I can’t recommend them highly enough. If anyone else comes here and is considering them or weighing the cost—they’re so well made, and so worth it. You go from drag-plodding along the an easy, bouncy stride. Crutches I had from the same time period have literally fallen apart, with their pot metal wingnuts and foam padding that gets filthy, shrinks, and hardens. These are like the elite luxury sportscar of crutches! Thank you so much for making them.

Very Satisfied Had issues reaching someone initially, no toll free number on website however emailed the company and someone got back to us quickly and was able to take our order and look up previous orders.

Pro Forearm crutches, yes I know it’s a second review but the really are that good !! I never expected a lot of difference in the new crutches but I was so wrong ! This model has impressed so much by the new hand grips with a much sturdier feel and the total feeling of safety and trust knowing the tough heavy duty crutch will never let me down !! I had added the extra strong crutch post grips , since we had some bad weather and I have decided to keep them on , ok they might extra weight but the feeling of security from them as they spread out like starfish is worth it ! For anyone looking for a well thought out and engineered crutch look no further you will get all you need right here

The only one I’ll buy! I have depended on forearm crutches for mobility for almost 20 years. I have been using In-Motion crutches for the last 8. I wish I found them sooner. The spring tips are a game changer. I can really feel a reduce in tension in my shoulders. In the past I was disappointed in the hand grips. Almost immediately they would start sliding off and I would constantly have to reset and re-glue. The screw would loosen and they eventually became unfix-able. But with this latest pair, there have been significant improvements! The grip bar is secured much better and the grips are a far better material. I have only had them a couple weeks but I am very pleased so far. I feel like the company listens to our concerns and makes improvements.

This Company is Amazing! This company is amazing! I had several injuries & from the first time I called, I was welcomed into the Millennial Medical family. I cannot say enough about my crutches, these are the only ones I can use because of the spring in the bottom. Mobility means everything & these have improved my life greatly! I recently had to call & Cody went beyond making sure I was good. I can honestly say this company cares about their customers. Nowadays this is a rare quality. They will never know how much they have helped me! Get ready Cody because people stop me all the time to ask me about my crutches & where I bought them!
