Eric - Amputee and School Teacher in Ghana
Sometimes a single picture carries an entire story. This is Eric Wondong, a dedicated teacher from Ghana, standing proudly with some of his students and using his brand‑new pair of in‑Motion crutches.
Eric first reached out to us months ago. His old in motion crutches were worn out after many years of use and were limiting his ability to teach and move comfortably. Through the kindness of a friend who helped with shipping, and a whole lot of patience, Eric finally received not one pair of new crutches, but two new pairs along with many new spare parts and pieces to refurbish his current crutches as well as having spare parts to use for years to come.
And his reaction said everything:
“Finally here! Thank you very much. God bless you abundantly. This means a lot to me. Attached is a picture of me using my new pair of crutches and a section of my students. Thanks for your help. I am very grateful. For Eric, these aren’t just crutches. They’re freedom. They’re dignity. They’re the ability to keep showing up for the young people who depend on him every day. Stories like his remind us why we do what we do, and why mobility matters everywhere, from Utah to Ghana and beyond. Eric, thank you for sharing your journey with us. Your strength inspires more people than you know. Be kind. Be generous. Always pay it forward.
